Marco's Pizza and Donate Life America have partnered to raise awareness for National Organ Donor Day, which is Feb. 14, also Valentine's Day

Marco's Pizza and Donate Life America have partnered to raise awareness for National Organ Donor Day, which is Feb. 14, also Valentine's Day. From now until Sunday, individuals may send a message of "both love and life " for their Valentine to #ORGANDONORDAY2016 on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using pictures with a message or a video of them singing one line from their favorite love song, according to a company press release. 

By bringing awareness to organ donation, participants will have a chance to win "Pizza for Life" from Marco's Pizza, as well as one of hundreds of Ghirardelli chocolate brownies for a significant other. Participants must be 18-years of age or older to enter the sweepstakes and giveaway. 

National Donor Day is supported by organ donation and healthcare nonprofits across the country and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It's a day to bring awareness to organ donation and to recognize those who have given the gift of donation, received a donation, and are currently waiting to receive a donation. Today, more than 120,000 patients are on the waiting list to receive a lifesaving organ transplant. Those interested in becoming an organ donor should go to www.donatelife.net.

Cathy Hull, chief marketing officer at Marco's Pizza, believes the song "That's Amore" is the perfect Valentine's Day message.

"Marco's Pizza has a strong Italian heritage," Hull said. "And for Italians, when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, it is amore. Regardless what your favorite love song is, this promotion is a fun way for our customers to post a Valentine's Day message, while supporting National Donor Day — a truly give-give situation."
