TOLEDO, Ohio — Marco's Pizza is positioning itself to triple its Greater Cleveland store count in the next few years.
According to a news release, Marco's Jack Butorac, Jr., president of the 129-unit chain, said a recent round of research done by MapInfo has convinced the company it can add 77 pizzerias in and around Cleveland, on top of the 30 units already operating there.
"We can easily put over 100 stores in the Cleveland area which would include (the towns of) Elyria and Mentor," Butorac said. "Last year, our same-store sales in the Cleveland area were 16 percent ahead of the previous year."
