TOLEDO, Ohio — Marco's Pizza is offering a special financing package for military veterans considering becoming Marco's Pizza store owners.
In a news release, Jack Butorac Jr., president of Marco's Franchising LLC, cited parallels between pizzeria ownership and military service.
"Words and phrases that are shared by franchisees and the military are not afraid of hard work, discipline, sense of community service and involvement, routine-oriented, leadership and the ability to follow a program or orders," Butorac said. "We at Marco's think it is time for veterans to be at the receiving end of patriotism."
Marco's is offering financial assistance for veterans to open and develop stores with special finance packages arranged through local banks. The effort is affiliated with the Vet Fran Program and the International Franchise Association.
Marco's Pizza has 145 locations in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada and Arizona. The company is scheduled to open 24 new stores this year.
