Marco's Pizza has signed a 12-unit franchise agreement with experienced franchisee Baljit Gill to expand the brand across Southern California, according to a press release.

Gill, a former engineer who began franchising in 1998, currently operates 21 Subway locations and one Auntie Anne's. His family has already opened three Marco's Pizza locations in Upland, Fontana and Hesperia, California. Two additional stores in Yucaipa and Highland are scheduled to open in early April, while the remaining units are in the site selection phase.

"As a multi-unit operator, you look for a brand that combines structure with opportunity," Gill said in the press release. "Marco's offered a strong foundation, robust support, and a team that truly partners with franchisees. That balance allows us to be creative operators while working within a system designed for growth. We're proud of the momentum we've built so far and are excited to continue expanding across California, bringing Marco's to even more communities throughout the region."

The franchise is a family-run operation. Gill's wife oversees the Subway portfolio, while his daughter leads the Marco's Pizza operations and his son is entering the business.

"Baljit exemplifies the type of experienced, growth-minded operator we're proud to partner with," Gerardo Flores, CDO of Marco's Pizza, said in the press release. "His disciplined approach, family-led infrastructure, and deep understanding of multi-unit operations position him for strong growth in Southern California, and we're excited to support his continued expansion."

The company is currently seeking additional multi-unit franchisees for the California market.
