Marco’s Pizza set to open 1,100th store

Marco's Pizza will open its 1,100th store in July, located in Dundee, Florida. The restaurant is owned by Kal Gullapalli, according to a press release.

It's Gullapalli's 36th Marco's unit, with plans to have 100 in his portfolio by 2025. He joined the company in 2021 after owning several fitness and health and wellness retail centers.

Gullapalli has seven more units in various stages of development, and has commitments for another 16 future stores across Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

The news contributes to Marco's Pizza's overall growth goal of 1,500 units by 2023.
