Marco's Pizza targets Knoxville, Tenn., area

April 18, 2010

Marco's Pizza, an authentic Italian pizza company headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, recently opened its first store in Knoxville, Tenn., but the operator said many more will come soon.

Darlene Reinke, a resident of Loudon, owns and operates the store along with her business partner, Sam Hollinger of Knoxville, according to a company statement. Hollinger and Reinke also are area representatives for Marco's Pizza with plans to open a total of 22 stores in greater Knoxville and the surrounding areas. Locations include Farragut, Hardin Valley, Maryville, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.

"Marco's Pizza has been focused on nationwide growth in recent years, and Tennessee is a relatively new territory for us," said Jack Butorac, Marco's president and CEO. "We have seen a strong, positive response from customers and a demand for high-quality pizza at a fair price. Marco's is pleased to announce this latest expansion in Knoxville and looks forward to continued development in the area."
