There are a couple of pieces of news on the Marco's Pizza front today that will put the brand front-and-center with an expanding pool of consumers, through a television campaign and a growing presence on delivery platform Waitr, according to a pair of news releases.
In fact, Waitr and Bite Squad now deliver from more than 100 of the chain's 1,000-plus stores, with the platforms now serving in 92 cities nationally. The two companies first started working together late last year. Marco's is currently one of the country's fastest growing pizza chains.
The brand is also sharing its growing presence and the commitment of its fans in a TV spot that began airing this week nationally, called "Precious Cargo" and focused on a couple cooing over something — which they are adoring using baby-talk — in their backseat. Of course, the precious cargo in this instance is a stack of Marco's Pizza boxes filled with pies.
The spot, created by MERGE out of Chicago, is part of a refreshed brand campaign with an updated tagline, "Pizza Lovers Get It," that all revolve around the nation's obsessive love of pizza.
"Pizza love runs deep in America, and no pizza is loved like Marco's," Marco's Pizza CMO Chris Tussing said in the release. "Our new campaign celebrates pizza lovers and shows them that we understand that pizza moments can feel like special moments in our life."
"Pizza Lovers Get It" is the foundation of the brand's new creative platform that will appear on various touchpoints in the future, including POP, Out-of-Home, print, social and other creative.
