Marco's Pizza will add 13 locations in Palm Beach County, Florida, over the next five via strategic franchise partnerships, according to a company press release.
The brand has three stores in the South Florida Atlantic Coast county, which encompasses both West Palm Beach and the high-end community of Palm Beach. The brand sees the area as having tremendous growth potential, stating that a nearby Boynton Beach franchise recently experienced several weeks of record sales.
Kickstarting the development is franchise owner, Johnny Wong, who is slated open a store on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in October. The brand is seeking single- and multi-unit franchisees to add stores in West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach and other nearby areas. Marco's Pizza said its 2019 AUV was $918,047.
"There are 39 municipalities within Palm Beach County, with only three Marco's Pizza locations. The open landscape, paired with positive market reception, makes the decision to expand an easy one," Glenn Ajmo, Marcos' area rep, said in the release.
Throughout the pandemic, Marco's Pizza has opened ghost kitchens, debuted a so-called "podular" unit, adopted third-party delivery and tested robotic kitchen equipment, it said in the release. The brand opens two stores a week on average.
Marco's Pizza is based in Toledo, Ohio, and now includes more than 950 stores in over 34 states with locations in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas.
