Martorano’s Sicilian Slice opens at Rivers Casino Philadelphia

Martorano's Sicilian Slice has opened at Rivers Casino Philadelphia. It's owned by Philly native Steve Martorano and his wife, Marsha Daley-Martorano, according to a press release.

The pizza shop is located steps away from where Martorano's Prime will soon open its Italian-American steakhouse.

The Sicilian-style fresh pizza is sold by the slice and features San Marzano tomato sauce and homemade mozzarella cheese. The pizza is topped with Calabria oregano and fresh basil, all drizzled with Frantoia extra-virgin olive oil. The slices include a sprinkle of pecorino Romano cheese, while generous toppings of Molinari pepperoni are also available.

"I can't wait for Philadelphia to enjoy authentic Martorano recipes from our family-style kitchens," Martorano said in the press release. "It starts with our thick-crust Sicilian slices, followed soon by the best meatballs you've ever tasted, at Martorano's Prime."
