Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers will open a new outlet in Bowling Green, Ky., on March 26. This will mark the brand's fourth location in the Bluegrass State, in addition to Louisville, Lexington and Wilder.
The new location is owned by Bob Holderfield and is located on Chestnut Street in downtown Bowling Green.
"It has always been a dream to open a Mellow in the downtown market, while incorporating an under-used space and developing it into a highly attractive concept for the community," Holderfield said.
The Mellow Mushroom menu features a variety of pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones and appetizers. Options for vegetarians, vegans, kids, and those on a gluten-free diet are also available.
Each Mellow is designed in a unique art-filled environment.
"The exterior of the white building is painted with a multi-color sound wave with a Rock and Roll theme, which previews the electrifying feel that you will experience once you enter the restaurant," Holderfield said.
Bowling Green's Mellow Mushroom restaurant also features:
The new location also includes a private dining room and a seasonal patio with a fire pit. There is a full-service bar with wine, cocktails and craft beers for those wanting to join the Mellow Mushroom Beer Club. The bar area will also feature trivia night, live music on the weekends and sporting events on 8 flatscreen TVs.
