Mellow Mushroom expansion continues in Georgia

Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers has announced another new opening, this time in Pooler, Ga., on Sept. 17.

"Pooler is a fast growing community in need of a quality pizza restaurant," said Bo Chambliss, who owns the Pooler location along with Bill Stembler.

This cinematically inspired Mellow Mushroom is rooted in the owners' interest in the film industry. Design elements include:

• A replica of a transformer welcoming guests at the entrance.
• A constellation of back-lit Hollywood stars from the Hollywood Walk of Fame that projects ambient lighting creating a dining under the stars experience.
• A superhero and his web suspend from the ceiling in the main dining area. Lining the back of the bar are five unique recreated statues from '60s Japanese pop culture.
• A hand-painted ribbon mural that references movie icons and scenes through the ages.

This Mellow has 190 seats inside and a seasonal covered patio, a variety of craft beers, wine and cocktail options, and a Beer Club with members-only rewards. It will also feature trivia nights and college and pro sports featured on 10 large televisions throughout the restaurant.
