Mellow Mushroom footprint grows in N.C.

Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers has found plenty of success in North Carolina, and the brand continues to grow in the Tar Heel state, with an opening set for Oct. 3 in Wrightsville Beach.

Robert Ray and Kevin Dukes, owners of the location in Wilmington, N.C., will also operate the newest unit.

"We are thrilled about establishing another exciting atmosphere and family-friendly environment by bringing our passion for Mellow Mushroom to the beach," Ray said.

The new Mellow will feature a beach-themed atmosphere and a full-service bar featuring liquor, wine and 12 craft beers on draft. It includes indoor and patio seating and will be open seven days a week, Monday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
