MEXICO CITY -- Alsea, master franchisee for Domino's Pizza in Mexico, reported second quarter sales of 645.2 million pesos (U.S. $66.5 million), an increase of 10.6 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to a release, of Alsea's 461 fast-food franchise outlets, 428 are Domino's: 295 are corporate stores and the remaining 133 are sub-franchises. Eighteen new pizza stores were opened during the quarter.
Alsea's net profits were up 81 percent over the same period last year, reaching 41.9 million pesos (U.S. $ 4.3 million).
