MOD Pizza continues California expansion

MOD Pizza continues its California expansion with the opening of its Irvine store this week. MOD Irvine is located in Westpark Plaza at 3965 Alton Parkway.

"We have been thrilled with the response to our first California store, which opened last month in Valencia. We've always believed Orange County would be a perfect environment for what MOD has to offer, so we couldn't be more excited to be joining the Irvine community," co-founder and CEO Scott Svenson said in a news release. "The MOD brand and culture continues to resonate with families, students and professionals who are looking for a cool and welcoming gathering place where they can enjoy fast, friendly service and fresh, high quality food, individualized for them at an incredible value."

The company plans continued expansion throughout California in 2014, including Northern California.

MOD originated in Seattle in 2008 and now includes 14 locations in Washington, Oregon and California.
