MOD Pizza expands outside of Seattle market

MOD Pizza,a top-your-own pizza chain, will open its newest store Oct. 8 n Lynnwood, Wash.

This is MOD Pizza's fifth unit to open in just under three years, and its first outside of Seattle's market.

"We are eager to serve this new market and to continue growing the MOD brand. We strongly believe there is a unique niche that we're filling, and have been encouraged by our customer's feedback and the comparison to brands such as Chipotle," said Ally Svenson, co-founder.

This new store opening will grow total MOD employee numbers to 75, with the company's annual sales projected at $3 million.
