MOD pizza signs pledge to expand inclusive workforce

As part of the October designation as National Disability Employment Awareness Month, Mod Super Fast Pizza Holdings LLC has joined the Delivering Jobs pledge — an inclusion campaign developed by Autism Speaks, Best Buddies and Special Olympics in partnership with the Entertainment Industry Foundation, a news release said.

The chain is now part of a group of companies that have committed to create a million employment and leadership opportunities for people with autism, intellectual and developmental differences by 2025.

Mod said in the release that it has had success including such individuals on its teams, along with "opportunity youth" and people who've been incarcerated.

The company said it has more than 300 employees across more than 490 restaurants system-wide with autism, intellectual and developmental differences.
