Mod puts former Red Robin exec in top culinary role

Mod Pizza has hired a former Red Robin Gourmet Burgers & Brews executive to lead its culinary team. Robin Hamm will serve as vice president of culinary for Mod, a news release said. 

The 16-year menu innovation veteran will lead the brand's global culinary strategy. Previously, Hamm was senior director for menu innovation and commercialization at Red Robin. Before that, she was quality and R&D manager at Safeway Inc. 

"The addition of this new role will further strengthen MOD's leadership team, and Robin's strategic vision and dynamic leadership will add great depth to our culinary division," Mod COO Paul Twohig said in the release. "Not only are we committed to continued culinary innovation, but to building a brand that is positioned to grow globally, all while building a people-first culture that is committed to making a difference within our industry and our communities."

Mod has more than 295 locations in 26 states and the U.K.
