For a second year, Mountain Mike's Pizza has become a pizza sponsor of the Sacramento Kings, according to a press release.

The brand first signed a sponsorship last year.

"Sports have been baked into the fabric of Mountain Mike's DNA since our inception, and we're thrilled to team up once again with the Sacramento Kings for a partnership that continues to help us deliver memorable experiences to guests in one of our largest markets," Jim Metevier, CEO of Mountain Mike's Pizza, said in the release. "This partnership, which includes the participation of nearly 60 Mountain Mike's restaurants in the region, engages Mountain Mike's with the local community and reaches pizza lovers throughout the Sacramento-Stockton area in exciting ways while also underscoring our commitment to family-friendly fun."

Mountain Mike's relationship with the Sacramento Kings is part of several integrations in professional sports, including partnerships with football's San Francisco 49ers and baseball's Los Angeles Angels.

To celebrate the sponsorship with the Sacramento Kinds, any home game where the Kings are leading at halftime unlocks a free mini one-topping pizza for the brand's app members with the purchase of a 20-ounch bottled beverage. The offer is valid one day following the game and is available at any of Mountain Mike's 56 Sacramento-Stockton locations.

Mountain Mike's operates nearly 300 locations.
