Mr Gatti's Pizza opens location in Victoria, Texas

Mr Gatti's Pizza will hold a grand opening celebration on May 1 at 5 p.m. for a location at 2804 N. Laurent St. in Victoria, Texas. The event is open to the public and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, children's entertainment, live music and giveaways, according to a press release.

Franchise owners Lupe and Veronica Zapata, Victoria natives, are fulfilling a lifelong dream with this restaurant. They frequented the former Mr Gatti's location in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and aim to recreate a similar community gathering place.

Mr Gatti's offers an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, salad bar, entertainment area and arcade.

"The opening of Mr Gatti's Pizza in Victoria is a heartfelt homecoming for us, made even more special by the Zapata family's journey from cherished memories at our tables to now hosting those tables themselves," Jim Phillips, CEO of Mr Gatti's Pizza, said in the release. "Lupe and Veronica's story is a testament to the enduring legacy of Mr Gatti's as a place where families come together, and dreams grow into reality. We are honored to have them lead our return to Victoria, a community that has always welcomed us."

Mr Gatti's has more than 140 restaurants open and in development throughout Texas and the Southeastern U.S.
