AUSTIN, Texas -- Mr. Gatti's Inc. has moved its headquarters from Kerrville, Texas, to Austin.
According to the Austin Business Journal, the 165-store chain originated in Austin in 1969 but moved its headquarters to Kerrville after LDB Corp. bought it in 1978. LDB was founded by cattle and carpet magnate L.D. Brinkman.
Brinkman's son, Don Brinkman, is president of Mr. Gatti's and has an office at what has been Mr. Gatti's regional office in Austin.
A receptionist at LDB in Kerrville said the company's directors have transferred to Austin, though the move hasn't surfaced in state incorporation records. The report said Mr. Gatti's officers couldn't be reached for comment.
