TOLEDO, Ohio — Marco's Pizza celebrated its 27th anniversary with the opening of its 125th unit.
According to a news release, the new Toledo unit is owned by Jimmy Jackson, a former Ohio State University basketball star and current player for the NBA's Houston Rockets.
"We are pleased to have established a relationship with Jimmy Jackson who recognized the potential and need for restaurants in downtown Toledo," said Jack Butorac, Jr., president of Marco's Franchising, LLC. "Mr. Jackson has made a commitment to business development in Toledo and we are pleased to be part of his plans."
Butorac, a veteran restaurant executive with high growth chains, recently acquired the franchising rights to Marco's and plans to double the current number of stores.
