LOUISVILLE, Ky. — NetWorld Alliance, publisher of PizzaMarketplace.com, announced the launch of Fast Casual magazine and the relaunch of fastcasual.com.
According to a news release, fastcasual.com was founded by publisher Paul Barron in 2000 as a news resource for what was then an emerging segment of the restaurant industry. The new print magazine will provide greater in-depth coverage of the rapid growth and evolution of fast-casual dining.
"(Fast-casual) concepts offer a blend of menu, quality, experience and price not available previously in the restaurant industry," said Barron. "Consumers have created an unparalleled demand for fast-casual restaurants."
According to Barron, sales in the fast-casual segment are expected to exceed $70 billion in 2006.
