North Korea acquires pizza technology
March 15, 2009
The Telegraph: After nearly 10 years of work, North Korea has launched the nation's first "authentic" Italian pizzeria.
In the late 1990s, North Korean leader Kim Jong-il brought a team of Italian pizza chefs to North Korea to instruct his army officers how to make pizza. Last year, Kim sent a delegation of local chefs to Naples and Rome to learn the proper Italian techniques after their efforts were found by Kim to contain "errors."
