NPC net up 75 percent

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Comparable-store sales at Pizza Hut restaurants operated by NPC International Inc. rose 0.4 percent on the 2008 first quarter ended March 25, the company has announced.
Revenues for the quarter were $188.8 million, up 9 percent compared with revenues of $173.1 million for the first quarter of 2007. Net income for the quarter was $4.2 million, up 75 percent compared with net income of $2.4 million for the 2007 first quarter.
NPC International is the world's largest Pizza Hut franchisee and operates 890 Pizza Hut restaurants and delivery units in 24 states.
