NPC opens new call center

August 31, 2009

NPC International, the world's largest Pizza Hut franchisee, has opened a new call center in Pittsburg, Kan., according to a story in the Pittsburg Morning Sun. The company expects to employ 200 people at the center.
According to the story:
The Pittsburg call center marks the company's fifth call center location. Other call centers include those in Birmingham, Ala.; Portland, Ore.; Springfield, Mo.; and suburban Memphis, Tenn.

The call center was also helped out by Pittsburg City Commissioners, who approved a $140,000 forgivable loan to help pay for the cost of renovating the National Mills building.

The loan's forgiveness is contingent on NPC meeting certain employment numbers.

According to company officials, the local call center would represent a multi-million dollar investment for the company and would handle orders for Pizza Hut customers from throughout the Midwest. NPC has added more than 250 locations since September 2008.
