NYC's Two Boots Pizzeria expanding to Nashville

January 23, 2013

New York City-based Two Boots Pizzeria, known for its Cajun-Italian offerings, is planning to open a unit in Nashville, Tenn., this year.

Currently, the chain has a 15-unit presence throughout New York City, as well as New Jersey, Baltimore and one in Los Angeles.

According to the Nashville Scene, this expansion will mark Two Boots' debut in the South.

The "Two Boots" name refers to the boot-shaped culinary regions of Italy and Louisiana. The menu features Louisiana influences, such as shrimp and crawfish. The concept, which sells pizza by the slice or pie, first opened in New York's East Village in 1987.

Sam Boyer, a New York transplant, and his wife Kim, will operate the Nashville location.
