NZ Pizza Hut franchisee, Restaurant Brands, still in buyout talks

Sharechat: Restaurant Brands, a franchisee of Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Starbucks outlets in New Zealand and Australia, remains in discussion with private equity firm CVC Asia Pacific Limited regarding a buyout.

After CVC made a $160 million (U.S. $111.3 million) offer for the company in June, it said in July it would be unable to proceed with its bid within the time-frame stipulated by the New Zealand's Takeovers Panel. Still, the proposal remains on the table.
