Oath opens ghost kitchen, delivers nationally

Oath Pizza has opened its first ghost kitchen in Philadelphia. The West Girard Avenue kitchen augments two traditional Oath Pizza stores in the Philadelphia Fashion District and at Suburban Square in Ardmore, an email from the brand said.

Ghost kitchen customers can choose from 10 craft pies or build their own pizza for pick-up or delivery from the store.

"We are thrilled to open our first-ever ghost kitchen to offer safe and delicious contactless pick-up and delivery options to residents of the Greater Philadelphia area," Oath Pizza CEO Drew Kellogg said in the release. "This opening is one of many unique ways we continue to pivot during these changing times. We're looking forward to opening additional delivery-focused locations to best meet the needs of our guests in the future."

Recently also, Oath Pizza launched on Goldbelly to deliver pizza to consumers across the U.S. Options for delivery include four different pizza kits with three crust choices.. The pizzas are flash-frozen and delivered for home cooking via oven or on the grill, the company said in an email to Pizza Marketplace.

The 5-year-old New England brand has more than 60 stores nationally but began delivering pies first back in April via website-placed orders.

"Now, with the launch of Goldbelly, we are excited to introduce our meal kits to many households who have never tried us before and are looking for a quality, better-for-you thin crust pizza option," Oath Pizza CMO Stacie Colburn Hayes said in an email.

"We are marketing to our current fans through email, social, and in-restaurant signage, and then extending awareness beyond that through paid search and social ads, PR, influencers, and other initiatives planned and facilitated individually and in partnership with Goldbelly."

Hayes said the brand first entered into the wider delivery space beyond its stores after COVID-19 became prevalent in the U.S. as a way of meeting fans' requests for the pies while living temporarily in other cities.
