June is celebrated every year as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer, or LGBTQ Pride Month and Oath Pizza is taking note of that fact by donating 10% of its profits from sales of the brand's new craft pizza care packages to The Waltham House at The Home for Little Wanderers in Boston, a news release said.
That organization helps provide a supportive living environment and mental health services for at-risk LGBTQ youth. This is the second year that the Nantucket, Massachusetts-born Oath Pizza has sponsored the campaign for the organization, that includes care packages that serve between four and eight people (depending on the package selected) for anywhere from $80 to $100.
Oath Pizza calls itself a "socially conscious, purpose-driven company" and it specializes in personal pizzas that are grilled in avocado oil and include dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan diet options. The brand started five years ago on Nantucket Island and now has more than 60 locations nationwide.
