Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom has announced the opening of two new restaurants this week, one in Hixson, Tennessee, and the other in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
The Hixson location is the company's first in the Chattanooga market. To celebrate the opening, $1 from every Chicago 7 and Meat Me sale after 3 p.m. through Jan. 4 will go toward the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.
"The Chattanooga Area Food Bank has a long history of serving the greater Chattanooga area, as well as the region, and we're proud to partner with them to raise funds to help end hunger in the community," President Mike Mrlik said in a news release. "We can't think of a better way to celebrate our opening than to invest in the well-being of our newfound community. We look forward to introducing everyone in Hixson to our freshly, handcrafted pizza and diverse menu of world-class craft beers this month while helping out an incredible organization such as the Chattanooga Area Food Bank."
Old Chicago Hixson will feature a variety of Tennessee craft beers from breweries such as Chattanooga Brewing Company and Big River Brewing Company.
The Jacksonville location will also donate $1 from those two specialty pizza sales to local charity, Hope for the Warriors, which supports service members who have been injured in the line of duty.
Old Chicago Jacksonville will feature a variety of Carolina craft beers from breweries such as Foothills Brewing Company and Lonerider Brewing Company.
