Former Joe's Crab Shack COO takes the lead at Old Chicago Pizza

The parent company of Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, SPB Hospitality, has named former Joe's Crab Shack COO Jim Mazany as its chief executive officer, a news release said. As the company's top executive, he will also oversee the Logan's Roadhouse and Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery brands, among others.

During his tenure at one's Crab Shack, Mazany helped to turn the brand around. Before that, he launched the Strategic Restaurant Solutions consulting firm and was CEO at Café Enterprises and COO at TGI Fridays.

"SPB Hospitality has an expansive portfolio of well-known brands that have huge potential," Mazany said. "We will build off the strong foundation of these brands and turn them into the industry leaders they deserve to be. I'm honored and thrilled to join the SPB family and I look forward to leading this company into the future."

SPB, which has hundreds of restaurants in 39 states, also operates ChopHouse & Brewery, Big River Grille & Brewing Works, AIA Ale Works Restaurant & Taproom, Ragtime Tavern Seafood & Grill and Seven Bridges Grille & Brewery.
