Ouro Pizzaria to open in food hall

Ouro Pizzaria will open in Minneapolis later this year. The Brazilian pizza concept will open in the new food hall Eat Street Crossing, according to a KARE 11 report.

The pizzeria is owned by Ben Spangler and Gabriella Grant-Spangler and will pay homage to Grant-Spangler's Brazilian roots.

"Brazilian pizza is very topping heavy and it's also not necessarily just savory. They do a lot of sweets. So we're going to have a lot of fun with dessert pizzas," Grant-Spangler told the news channel.

The word "ouro" means "gold" in Portuguese.

Spangler and Grant-Spangler also own Bebe Zito Ice Cream & Burgers in the Twin Cities region.
