Panera Bread expects Crispani pizza to lift sales 5%

Barron's Online: Panera Bread, the fast-growing bakery-cafe chain, believes its new flatbread pizza, called Crispani, will lift sales 3 percent to 5 percent when it rolls out in stores this year. The pizza will be sold only after 4 p.m., in a bid to draw dinnertime diners, the peak time for sales at traditional pizzerias.
