Papa Gino's execs buy pizza and sandwich chains

Boston Business Journal: Executives of Papa Gino's Holdings Corp. have led a buyout of the restaurant company.

Bunker Hill Capital LP, a private equity firm formed in 2003 by former FleetBoston Financial Corp. employees, financed the deal. Terms of the transaction, Bunker Hill's first, were not disclosed.

Based in Needham, Papa Gino's Holdings Corp. has a total of 370 company-owned, franchised and licensed Papa Gino's pizzerias and D'Angelo sandwich shops located throughout New England. Those stores currently employ about 5,000 people.
