Papa John's appoints Street, former beverage giant CEO, to board

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Papa John's International, Inc. appointed William M. Street to its board of directors on Dec. 16.

According to a news release, Street is the recently retired president of Brown-Forman Corporation and CEO of Brown-Forman Beverages. Street spent more than 40 years with the Louisville-based maker of premium whiskeys, scotches and wines.

"We're honored to have Bill join our Board," said John H. Schnatter, founder and CEO of Papa John's. "He brings strategic brand strength and expertise to the team."

According to the release, Street's board term will expire at Papa John's 2004 annual meeting of stockholders.
