Papa John's President and CEO Rob Lynch has joined the governing committee of the newly launched CEO Action for Racial Equity fellowship, which puts chief executives to work advancing racial equity through public policy, a news release said.

Workplace diversity and inclusion advocacy, CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion, formed the social justice fellowship to advance racial equality. The 250 fellows of CEO Action for Racial Equity represent more than 100 organizations that have committed to work together to identify, develop and promote public policies and corporate engagement strategies that speak to systemic racism and social injustice, while improving societal well-being. Group members will focus on education, healthcare, public safety and economic empowerment.

"The societal systemic racial injustice across our country has disproportionately impacted Black Americans and it is what is pushing us to do more," Roy Weathers, CEO Action for Racial Equity CEO, said in the release. "Now is the time to use our collective talent, passion and diverse perspectives to advance societal systemic change and improve equitable opportunities."

Papa John's is based in Louisville, Kentucky, with more than 5,300 restaurants globally.
