Papa John's CMO latest exec to go
Papa John's is in the market for a CMO. Brandon Rhoten will sign off with the brand on May 25, according to an email from Senior Public Relations Officer Peter Collins.
"Over the past year, Brandon has helped us better understand our challenges and assisted the team in the development of a comprehensive strategic plan to take the brand forward," the company said in a statement released to this website. "We appreciate his innovation and efforts and wish him the best after his departure at the end of this month.
"Moving forward, we will be initiating a search for a new leader that can execute our marketing strategy with urgency and agility while making meaningful connections with consumers to improve results."
This is the latest of several executive departures this year, following founder andformer CEO John Schnatter's step down from that position late last year. Steve Ritchie stepped into that job. But then CFO Lance Tucker left in March, with Joe Smith being assigned to that job this month.
