Papa John's franchisees throughout Washington state have signed an agreement to be a founding corporate sponsor of the 15 to 1: Jermaine Kearse Foundation. Kearse, wide receiver for the Seattle Seahawks, created the foundation to support and inspire youth in military families to work hard, persevere and believe in order to overcome adversity and find success through positive choices, experiences and opportunity, according to a company press release.

"15 to 1 represents my journey, from a military base to the National Football League," Kearse said. "It represents beating the odds and taking the road that was not necessarily the one that was right in front of me. I'm honored that Papa John's chose us for this partnership."

Born in Lakewood, Washington, Kearse grew up in a military family and respects the commitment to serving the country, the release stated.

As part of the partnership, Papa John's has created a special online-only Jermaine Kearse Pizza offer, including a Large 2-Topping Pizza and a Double Chocolate Chip Cookie for $15.21 with $1.21 of every order being donated to foundation, the release stated. In addition, Papa John's will donate $500 for each catch made and $1,500 for each touchdown scored by Kearse during the 2015-16 NFL season.

"Papa John's just added another quality ingredient to our lineup with the Jermaine Kearse Foundation," said Papa John's Western Washington Co-op President Diane Kaelin. "We look forward to seeing Jermaine score and the positive impact we can make to better the Washington community."

Kearse and his foundation are focused on raising funds to provide opportunities for the youth of military families who may not normally be able to participate in education and travel learning experiences, outdoor and sport camps, and internships or career shadowing opportunities, the release stated.
