Papa John's opens first Egypt location

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Papa John's International continued with its global-expansion plan with the opening of the first Papa John's restaurant in Egypt.
The opening represents the first of five planned for this year in Egypt, and 40 over the next four years by Papa John's franchisee Vantage Egypt for Tourism and Entertainment.
"The opening of the first Papa John's restaurant in Egypt not only serves as a platform for rapid expansion in that country, but it further strengthens our foothold throughout the Middle East where we currently have 44 restaurants in eight countries," said Robb Chase, president, Papa John's International.
The Cairo Papa John's location is a full-service restaurant with a create-your-own pasta bar, a 28-item salad bar and Papa John's world-renowned pizza.
