Papa Murphy's aims for 25 Louisville stores

Papa Murphy's is eyeing expansion in Papa John's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. According to Louisville Business First, Louisville franchisee Jerry Best and business partner Jerry Tyler can see 25 more locations in the city. Best currently owns four in the market and there are 12 additional stores owned by other franchisees.

The national company has started investing more in marketing for the area. Best said corporate invested $150,000 in advertising and marketing support for the city in 2014, compared with $80,000 last year.

Best told the publication that corporate has invested more in Louisville for marketing support and that the plan is to open a new Papa Murphy's every six months.
