Take-and-bake chain, Papa Murphy’s, is angling to steal market share while the trend toward eating at home continues to sweep U.S. households. In a nod to what research shows is consumers' growing efforts to save cash, the brand is putting price-consciousness at the forefront of its promotional push.
Papa Murphy's is introducing its XLNY, or extra large New York-style pizza for $7 as well as featuring two medium two-topping pies for $5.99 each. The LTOs are designed to be heavy on affordability and taste, but light on consumers' wallets.
To sweeten the deal, the chain has created Cowboy Cookie Dough available through May 28 for $5. Last week, the chain's stock value soared in trading, closing at $4.77, up 59 cents from its value just one week earlier.
