Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza franchisee rolls out PixelPoint POS at 20 stores

March 3, 2004

CONCORD, Ontario—Restaurant POS software developer, PixelPoint Technologies, announced that Button Pizza Company, a Midwestern franchisee of Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza units, has rolled out PixelPoint's Enterprise POS Software Suite, HeadOffice, in 20 locations.

According to a news release, Button Pizza Company was formed in November 2001 to develop 100 Papa Murphy's Take 'N' Bake Pizza stores throughout the Chicago and Northwest Indiana areas (see Papa Murphy's and Blockbuster pair up in Indiana).

"After careful consideration, we chose PixelPoint because they offer solutions that fit our needs and can be customized for our type of business," said John Burrell, CEO of Button Pizza.

Cindy Moss, information technology manager for Button Pizza, said the company plans to have all its locations (about 40 currently) running PixelPoint by June.

"Using the HeadOffice product, I can effortlessly roll out a location in one day," Moss said. "All I have to do is set the location up on PixelPoint, load the menu templates and train the employees."

Button Pizza also has migrated its reporting onto DataMiner, PixelPoint's data mining platform reporting tool.

"We are using DataMiner to manage various reports including payroll," Moss added. "Our employees clock in and out using a swipe card, and DataMiner takes the information and puts it into an employee shift summary report that we send straight to payroll. We are also using the daily sales report to track food sales and wage percent report to track gross sales."
