Papa Pizza opens 2nd location in Pensacola

Longtime Pensacola Beach pizzeria Papa Pizza has opened a second location in downtown Pensacola, according to a Pensacola News Journal report.

The original pizzeria is located on the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk. The new location is situated at 18 E. Garden St. and is owned by Nicholas Burleigh and wife, Vanessa Burleigh, both former Papa Pizza employees. Nicholas worked at the Boardwalk location for 13 years while Vanessa worked there for six years.

Nicholas Burleigh says founder Michael Pinzone supported him as he worked to buy into the business since 2020.

"I worked closely with (Pinzone) for a long time, and he has kind of been a mentor," Nicholas Burleigh told the news outlet. "He taught me everything he knew about making pizza and running a business."
