This is one of the most sacred weeks for Christians and Jews, since adherents to both religions are in the midst of high holy days. For Christians, this is Easter Week, ending on the holiday of Easter on Sunday. For Jews, Passover week begins today and continues through April 16. Both holidays come with dietary restrictions, which could rule out a big meaty pie on a traditional dough-y crust. That why at least three pizza brands are catering specifically to those needs.
At the Southern California pizza chain, Fresh Brothers, for instance, the brand is bringing back its Matzah Pizza for the ninth straight year, according to a news release. The $7 personal-sized square pies are available until the end of Passover on April 16.
Each pizza has a double-stacked Matzah crust, with a cheese layer in between, topped with sauce and mozzarella. Customers can pair the Matzah Pizza with vegetables, as well. In fact, each Matzah pizza is made with dedicated cookware and utensils to ensure that there's no cross-contamination with other regular pizzas and ingredients, as required under the tenets of the holiday's observance.
"We know it can be tricky to order out when celebrating Passover, so we enjoy offering a great alternative worth indulging in," CEO Geoff Goodman, said in the release. "Our Matzah Pizza has become a fan-favorite over the years, and we're excited to bring it back again, just in time for Passover."
Fresh Brothers offers curbside pickup and contactless delivery and has 20 locations in Southern California.
Meanwhile, at Fired Pie, Pomo Pizza and California Pizza Kitchen, Easter is the occasion of special attention, according to emails from those brands to Pizza Marketplace. In fact, all day on Easter Sunday, April

Orders can be placed online or by phone by Saturday at 5 p.m. local time for the Scottsdale and downtown Phoenix locations. Orders come with baking time instructions for Pinsa Romana and Lasagna.
Finally, at California Pizza Kitchen, the brand said that response to its CPK Market, we recently told you about, has been so good they're expanding it to include three spring meal kits that feature everything from salmon and chicken to grilled ribeye, available now through Easter.
All the kits come with spinach-and-artichoke dip with a sourdough baguette, a full-sized Caesar salad, 12 ounces of raw fingerling potatoes with oil for cooking and a butter cake with ice cream. Then customers have a choice of the aforementioned entrees to feed two or four.
