Pepsi to cut thousands of jobs

Associated Press: PepsiCo Inc. will eliminate 3,300 positions globally as a result of lagging soft drink sales in the United States. The company plans to close six plants and invest the savings in brand building, long-term research and development and growth initiatives in key markets.
