Pi Pizzeria employees to make $10.10 an hour

March 20, 2014

Chris Summers, cofounder of Pi Pizzeria restaurants in St. Louis, announced Wednesday that he will begin paying his employees $10.10.

According to Fox 2 Now, Summers was joined by St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay to make the announcement. Slay encouraged a citywide increase to $10.10/hour in January, from the current $7.50 that is Missouri's minimum wage.

Pi Pizzeria includes seven restaurants in the St. Louis market, and the increase is set to take place beginning April 1.
