Pie Five Pizza set to open 10th location in KC

April 28, 2016

Pie Five Pizza is schedule to open its first restaurant in Lawrence, Kansas tomorrow, just a few minutes from the University of Kansas, according to a press release.

Students and local residents are invited to stop by on opening day, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., to create their very own personal pies made from more than 30 fresh toppings, eight savory sauces and four made-from-scratch crusts. A slew of other prizes will be given away, including Kansas City Royals tickets, Country Stampede tickets and $20 Pie Five gift cards.

The Lawrence location marks Pie Five's 10th location in the Kansas City area, according to the announcement.

"We were initially drawn to the fast casual pizza concept, and in particular to the Pie Five brand, because of the ability to customize pizzas for each guests' needs," said Kerry Goebel, Pie Five Pizza franchisee. "As we've grown, so have our fresh menu offerings. We now have the ability to cater to guests with dietary-based restrictions and food sensitive allergies with our gluten-free crust and vegan cheese. Our combinations are nearly infinite."

Pie Five also announced it will continue its longstanding commitment of donating 5 percent of sales each and every Monday to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City through its "Mercy Mondays" program. Pie Five has already raised $97,000 for the children’s hospital.
