Pie Five plans Colorado debut

Pie Five Pizza has awarded up to 30 franchise units to Adam Wessley, founder of Tripod Ventures LLC, to introduce the brand to Colorado. Wessley and his team will begin in the Denver market with a mid-2015 opening date.

Colorado will be Pie Five's 10th state.

According to a news release, Wessley opened his first restaurant at the age of 18. He is currently expanding the Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers brand into Colorado, California and Florida. 

"Pie Five's focus on fresh-made, handcrafted, natural and healthy food is an absolutely perfect fit for our state," Wessley said in the release. "When I saw what they had to offer – not only that they specialize in artisan pizzas with high-quality ingredients, but also the exceptional business model and family-friendly value – I was sold."
