Houston-based Pie Five Pizza is preparing to open its second restaurant in Space City on Jan. 23 the company said. The opening comes just one month after Pie Five’s debuted in Spring.
Located on Washington Avenue, the new Houston store is joining its sister restaurant in partnering with the Sunshine Kids Foundation, a local charity for young cancer patients since 1982.
Both restaurants have held pre-opening fundraisers to support the nonprofit organization. For information about Sunshine Kids, visit SunshineKids.org.
"We’re thrilled to share this exciting new pizza experience with the people of Houston and we're proud to support wonderful organizations like Sunshine Kids in the process," said VP of Operations Chris Smith in a statement. "Our local outreach has just begun, as we look forward to working alongside other Houston-area nonprofits, schools and organizations in the future."
Houston area radio station 104.1 KRBE will be onsite on Friday, January 30, to host food and merchandise giveaways from 6-8 p.m.
The new Houston location marks the 15th for Pie Five in the state of Texas. The store will celebrate its first week of business with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Feb. 10 at 4 p.m.
