Pizza a Modo Mio to open 3rd location in Charleston

Mike Pitera, a New York transplant to Charleston, South Carolina, will open a third outlet of his Pizza a Modo Mio brand in a fast-growing area of Charleston, according to a The Post and Courier report.

The brand first opened in West Ashley in 2023 and in Hollywood in 2024, both Charleston areas.

The new location will sell coffee, bagels and breakfast sandwiches in the morning, with the bagels coming from a New York City bakery. That's the model at the Hollywood location.

"Pizza and bagels pair really well together," Pitera told the news outlet. "It's working really well for us in Hollywood."

Pizza a Modo Mio Clements Ferry Road is scheduled for a mid-February opening.
